Boeing has been vocal about this shift in development logic. According to company executives, the focus is moving toward a "flat-cost" approach. By rethinking the design process, Boeing aims to create solutions that can be scaled rapidly without the prohibitive price tags associated with traditional precision munitions. A key area of innovation is the missile seeker—the "eyes" of the weapon. Traditionally, the seeker accounts for nearly 30% of a missile's total cost.
